- Something added to the end of a sentence that is the same every time it's used. E.g. Canadian "eh", Malaysian "lah", American English "right" or "okay" or "you know", French "hein" (pronounced "anh"), Japanese "ne", Dutch "hè", Yiddish "nu", Spanish "¿no?"
- tag
- Something added to the end of a sentence that can change the meaning of a sentence. E.g. adding "isn't it?" to the end of a phrase or sentence turns that phrase into a question. See invariant tag.
